“We specified Flex Array for the tour because it is such a flexible system.We knew it would suit a wide variety of venues from 450 to 2500 capacity,” says Steve Williams of Northallerton-based Viking Sound, the tour’s audio supplier.
“It’s much more about clarity than brute force,” says Steve. “You need that clear, gospel sort of sound. There is lots of percussion and effects - of course our intention is that the audience doesn’t miss a thing.
“But the fact that Flex Array puts out a lot of sound means that we can tour with a small system and there are no issues with sight lines or added transport expenses either.”
“From a hire perspective, once I heard Flex Array I knew it was the way forward,” concludes Steve. “It really is very flexible - it has great power and clarity, the crossover points are where they need to be, it’s easy to rig and it produces great quality sound.
